Situated on the idyllic Nyang Nyang Island, our guesthouse is located less than 100 meters away from “Ebay”, one of the jewels of the Mentawai islands. In this magical area, we’ve created a place designed to ensure that your surfing dreams will come true. Immersed in the beautiful wildness of Nyang Nyang island, you will find yourself sorrounded by an abundance of world-class waves.

We’re committed to putting you on those waves, something our experienced surf guide and two speedboats work towards ensuring. Our camp, with space for twelve guests, caters to surfers of all skill levels with a wide variety of waves right on our doorstep. With over fifteen waves in the playgrounds and five waves on Nyang Nyang alone, you’re never far from perfect waves.

LOCATION

The Mentawai archipelago lies off the west coast of Sumatra in northern Indonesia and is made up of the four main islands of Siberut, Sipora, and North and South Pagai, with numerous smaller islands scattered throughout the region. These islands have the perfect combination of swell and wind to satisfy every surfers desire. Nyang Nyang Island is one of five Islands that belongs to the southern Siberut region of Mentawais, the legendary surf area known as the “Playground”. It is located 135 km south west of the Sumatra mainland at almost 2 degrees below the equator.

Our camp is situated on the west side of the Nyang Nyang Island, A sunny tropical paradise in the Northern Mentawai Islands. Our island has five famous surf breaks: Beng Bengs, E-Bay, Pitstop, Bankvaults, and Nipussi.
Here we’ve created a space to rest your mind and body. Relax on the beach or admire the perfect left-hander ‘E-Bay’ right in front of the guesthouse. If the temptation overwhelms you, make the quick paddle out or Jump on the boat for a two minute trip to another left-hander and our namesake, Beng Bengs. Alternatively, look inward and take a hike through the tropical jungle that surrounds our camp.
